The church pews literally exploded after being underwater for so long and then beginning to dry out. |

Pirogue (small boat) that was left over from a church activity was used to ferry food from the kitchen area to people who escaped the flood and stayed temporarily in the church balcony. When the waters receded, the boat came to rest on top of the church pews. |
